"...Could I not let you any closer,
Could I not need you more.
How could I not leave you at arm's length."
"At Arm's Length" is an emotional roller coaster ride embedded in a clear and beautifully danced duet. It is about trust, love and the emotional struggles around a deep friendship and the reevaluation of the need for one another.
"At Arm's Length" keeps the other at distance, far enough to breathe but close enough to fall back upon each other's support and embrace. An embrace too tight, but comforting like no other.
Danced by two women and containing many diffcult lifts, this duet is an expression of a deep belief in the physical strengths of women. It is empowering and moving.
