This year's SARUS Festival examines ways of KNOWING and NOT KNOWING. What is knowledge? How does it shape our everyday lives? How do we question knowledge and its mechanisms? Let's look at how knowing informs our processes of investigation and presentation. ... Art as inquiry. .... Meaning-making.
Opinions. They exist. Strongly. How can we broaden our view? Change our point of view... Can we consider that we might be missing the point, somehow, somewhere! What might we not see, not know, not be aware of?
How do we position ourselves as artists, beings, citizens, friends, family members, outsiders, insiders, gendered or non-gendered beings, etc within current modes of knowledge production. How do we inquire and seek knowledge or oppose it. Why?
What would you like to make people aware of? What points are we missing? What have you realized that you had no idea existed? Share it with us at SARUS Festival.
Any art form is welcome: performance, drawing/painting, sculpture, filmmaking, theatre, puppetry, etc.
Other formats are welcome: workshops, readings, presentations, games....
