'Darkness'
Concept/Sound/Visual Art/Scene Design/Lighting Design/Construction/Installation/performance by Karola Lüttringhaus Photo above by CAM staff. An installation created for the Cameron Art Museum, Wilmington, NC, USA. The work is a visual, e-dimensional and auditory experience dealing with the Nai Germany Holocaust. The sound score plays Albert Einstein's voice. A nude dancer is supended amidst the translucent paintings. Viewers can look through small gaps within the plastic sheets to see parts of her as she slowly moves, withstanding the pain that she received from her suspension. |
