Etaernus - collaboration with Tohm Judson
Animation/installation/sound/composition by Tohm Judson
An interactive animation/sound installation.
A collaborative project between Tohm Judson and Karola Luttringhaus. A dancing tree: By stepping in front of a camera, which is linked to a program that maps a person's movements and translates them to the branches and trunk of a tree, that person can influence the tree's movements or position. The animation was also sound sensitive and Tohm's intricate and ethereal musical composition changed with the person's movements. The animation encourages people to move in creative ways, while distracting them from being too self conscious.
