"GESTURES OF LOVE" post-performance AUDIENCE SURVEY
Thank you so much for taking time to give me some feedback for my research. You can write as much as you want or have time for. You can do this survey multiple times,or just once. You can also email me feedback at
sarusfestival@gmail.com
if you don't like this format or it doesn't work. You can follow the below prompts, or write whatever comes to mind. You can just address one of these prompts or more. If a questions isn't clear, just go with what you understand the question is about. I hope this is fun to do!
This survey will be anonymous unless you add your name to each response. It's up to you.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
GENERAL FEEDBACK: Brainstorm some words that come up when thinking back on the "Gestures of Love" performance. Anything goes. Anything belongs. Also, if you want to write something I can use for my references page, that would be very helpful here.
*
MEANING, CONTENT, CONCEPT, MESSAGES: What is the core message or messages in your opinion? For you personally, if you don;t mind sharing, what was the piece about? Don't worry about what I might have intended to get across. That's not important here.
*
CONCEPT, PLOT, CHARACTERS etc: Think back on the characters in the piece, the performer, the projections, etc. Who do you see in this performance? Who is this person, who are these individual people, or characters? Is this Karola, or a role I play, etc...?
*
ALL THINGS AUDIBLE: Think back on anything that your ears perceived. For example you can give feedback on: Who does the voice-over voice belong to? When in the piece did you come to the conclusion that that is who is speaking? What gives you reason to believe that? What does the music do in the piece? Who is playing the music? What is the significance of there being music? What happens to you when the performer vocalizes (sings, breathes loudly, makes sounds on the floor, against the wall, etc)
*
GESTURES and MOVEMENTS: Think back on gestures or movements you saw. You can give feedback on anything relating to that such as: What are some key gestures you remember? Can you briefly describe them? Did you make gestures as you watched? Do you think about gestures differently? How do you relate to gestures? Were you tracking or tracing gestures in the performance in some ways, how, etc...?
