Kopfueber from German translates to "head first" indicating an inverted state of mind and attacking a situation without too much contemplation. The piece explores the relationship between two people and their strong and common interest in reaching beyond the usual and attaining a greater personal freedom.
The piece showcases an athletic physicality and plays with optical illusions reinforced by lighting effects such as strobes and the use of rope and harnes work to climb and swin through the space.
Supported by The Theater Ballhaus Naunynstrasse, Berlin/Germany.
